About SITADC Youth Club

Our Organization

SITADC Youth Organization is a transformational youth-led organization by young people for young people. The organization focuses on educating young people to discover, develop and unleash skills and Talents, and providing quality service to other youth-led organization in setting up and managing the organization at the standard level. We vow to work with all young people be it educated, uneducated, employed, unemployed, and friends from the streets (streets kids) and young people living with disability.

 

The area of our interest is to provide quality information and lessen the issues and challenges affecting young people and the community such as Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Access to health care services, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Poverty, Governance, Climate Change, Human Rights, Crimes, Lack of Quality Education, Injustice, etc.

 

SITADC Youth Organization supports the , UN SDG No.1 No Poverty, No. 3 Good Health and Well-Being, No. 4 – Quality Education, No. 5 – Gender Equality,  No. 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth, No. 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. We aim at providing support and empower young people with the passion and mindset of a giant innovative, creative, and determined with the influence of changing the community into a better place for all and having a sustainable living from generation to generation.

 

Our organization is wide open to a young person wanting to volunteer with us. We are open an organization willing to work hand in hand with other Youth NGOs, Cooperatives, Clubs, Groups, Church Youth Fellowships, Government, Community Gatekeepers, Health Facilities, The Community, Well Wishers etc.

 

ISSUES OF INTEREST (OR CONCERN)

  • Promoting the aims of UN SDGs at local countries, continents and globally. SITADC is actively working to train and educate both educated and uneducated youths to develop and have a sustainable living and contributing to the economy of Zambia and the world at large.

 

  • Young people are often affected by mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. These issues can have a significant impact on their wellbeing and can lead to other problems such as substance abuse and self-harm.

 

  • Many young people struggle with educational challenges, such as poor academic performance or difficulty transitioning to a new school. Educational challenges can affect their confidence and ability to succeed in other areas of life.

 

  • Poverty is a major issue affecting many young people, especially those living in low-income communities. Poverty can limit access to resources such as quality education, healthcare, and nutritious food.

 

  • Substance abuse is a significant problem among young people, and it can have long-term negative effects on their physical and mental health.

 

  • Young people are often affected by crime and violence in their communities, which can lead to trauma, fear, and a sense of insecurity.

 

  • Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or other factors can have a significant impact on young people, leading to feelings of isolation and low self-esteem.

 

  • Environmental issues such as pollution and climate change can affect young people's health and wellbeing, as well as their future prospects.

 

  • Providing linkage and stable accommodation to children in the street. We aim at helping friends from the street (street kids) to have a stable and/or comfortable spaces which will provide quality health support, quality education and quality survivor skills that can help them have a sustainable living and stop engaging themselves in alcohol and drug abuse, street vending, begging and sleeping in the street.

 

  • Supporting and promoting gender equality. Our aim is to promote and support all young people in having equal opportunities in regards to all opportunities in all areas.

PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION

At SITADC, we recognize that partnerships and collaborations are vital for achieving our mission and making a meaningful impact. We actively seek and cultivate relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including:

1. Government Entities:

We collaborate with local, regional, and national government entities to align our efforts with their development agendas, policies, and initiatives. By working together, we leverage resources, share expertise, and ensure that our programs and services complement the government’s efforts in addressing social and community challenges.

2. Nonprofit Organizations:

We partner with other nonprofit organizations that share our vision and values. These collaborations enable us to pool resources, combine expertise, and implement joint initiatives to tackle complex social issues. We engage in strategic partnerships to enhance program delivery, knowledge sharing, and advocacy efforts.

3. Corporate Sponsors:

We establish partnerships with corporations that are committed to corporate social responsibility and align with our mission. These collaborations often involve financial support, in-kind donations, employee volunteering programs, and shared expertise. By partnering with corporations, we leverage their resources and influence to amplify our impact and reach a broader audience.

4. Academic Institutions:

We collaborate with universities, colleges, and research institutions to access cutting-edge knowledge, research findings, and expertise. These partnerships enable us to develop evidence-based programs, conduct research studies, and explore innovative approaches to address societal challenges. We also engage in knowledge exchange initiatives, such as guest lectures, internships, and joint publications, to promote learning and capacity building.

5. Community-Based Organizations:

We actively collaborate with grassroots community-based organizations that have deep connections and understanding of the communities we serve. These collaborations ensure that our programs are culturally sensitive, community-driven, and sustainable. We work closely with these organizations to identify needs, co-design interventions, and empower local communities to drive positive change from within.

6. Philanthropic Foundations:

We partner with philanthropic foundations that share our mission and provide financial support for our programs and initiatives. These collaborations often involve grant funding, capacity building support, and strategic guidance. We maintain transparent and accountable relationships with foundations, providing regular progress reports and impact assessments to ensure effective utilization of resources.

7. International Organizations:

We collaborate with international organizations, such as United Nations agencies, regional bodies, and global NGOs, to address global challenges and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These partnerships allow us to learn from best practices, access global networks, and advocate for policy changes at national and international levels.

8. Community Stakeholders:

We actively engage with local communities, community leaders, and grassroots organizations to ensure our programs and services are responsive to community needs.
